Bai Mei
The 8th NovarchThe current Novarch of Reality, and selected by the unique election mechanism of the Material Lip. A celebrity in the Plane of Reality.
Blade
The 22nd NovarchThe 22nd Novarch, and master of the Plane known as "The Peak." One of the Phoenixbreaker Novarchs, he is searching for the missing 11th Sovereign.
Breadhead
The mysterious and strange-looking Breadhead. Seems to be acquainted with "you," and appears to guide "you" out as you escape from the layered dreamscape and danger.
Herocrates
Nexus AssociationThe Nexus Association's "Professor." He leads both the Scientific Research Department and Public Welfare Department. Cultured and elegant, he is well-learned, extremely knowledgeable, and passionate about rescuing Anima.
Hua
AnimasterA young Animaster burning with passion. He's already quite famous in Iia for his goal of making it through the Qualifiers and to the Amphitheater.
Hungrille
The 68th NovarchThe 68th Novarch, ruler of the Plane of Satiation. She has an absolutely incredible appetite, and is intensely curious about how everything tastes.
Kiana
PlanestriderA Planestrider who roams far and wide. Currently dealing with Anima corrupted by Aspect contamination on behalf of the Committee for a Joyful Iia.
Maple Manybell
Deputy Arena MasterOne of the Deputy Arena Masters of Iia's Arena. Between her young age and extremely eccentric way of thinking, it's entirely possible she hasn't a clue that she's serving as a Deputy Arena Master.
Nanafey
A small-town girl with an amazing imagination. She is full of anticipation and longing for other Planes, but has never had the chance to leave her town.
Olympia
True Nexus SyndicateActing Director of the True Nexus Syndicate's Iia branch office. She is decisive and efficient, swiftly taking over and reorganizing the local Syndicate branch in Iia.
Otto
A young expert in obliviasis research. Not interested in academia, he is obsessed with inventing and dedicated to uncovering the origins of obliviasis and finding a cure for it.
Parayaya
The 29th NovarchThe current Novarch of Hate. Prior to the Sundering, she was the 14th Sovereign, master of Love and Hate. After the Sundering, she joined the Phoenixbreaker Novarchs, seeking the World-Ender who so ruthlessly betrayed her.
Shilian
A teacher at Montemar Academy. She teaches Planar Geography, and her students revere her.

Aspects & the Nexus
In Honkai: Nexus Anima an Aspect is a single concept — Light, Dark, Love, Hate, Reality, Joy, Pride, Beauty and more (16+ revealed). Every Anima belongs to one Aspect, and Aspect synergies decide Nexus Battles. These come from the Nexus: before the Sundering a Sovereign mastered a paired concept (for example Love & Hate), and after it each Novarch rules a single Aspect — which is why the figures below are listed by their paired or single domain.

Nexus Battles
Nexus Battles is an auto-battler: you build a deck of Anima rather than a fixed party, deploy it, and the fight resolves automatically based on Aspect synergies, an Animaster's starting buff and shared assist slots.
